"National resources are part of the national wealth belonging to the nations and different generations throughout the history; hence more serious efforts should be made to protect natural resources and forests," the Leader underscored.
"Protecting the environment, forests and natural resources and preparing the ground for the creation of a healthy and fresh atmosphere for the living are among the main duties that should be top the agenda of the Iranian officials," Ayatollah Khamenei went on saying.
The ceremony was also attended by a number of Iranian cabinet members, lawmakers, members of the Tehran City Council, Tehran Municipality officials and Tehran's Mayor Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf and military commanders.
Meantime, the construction phase of Iran's largest city park in the South of the capital was officially launched on Tuesday.
